Timber Arris Rail
An arris rail is the backbone of a traditional "closeboard" or "feather edge" fence. It is a length of timber with a triangular cross-section, created by sawing a square piece of timber diagonally from corner to corner.
While modern fences sometimes use simple rectangular rails, the arris rail remains the gold standard for high-quality, long-lasting timber fencing.
