A concrete repair spur (sometimes called a "godfather post") is a heavy-duty concrete stake used to reinforce or rescue a wooden fence post that has rotted at ground level.
Instead of digging out the entire post and replacing it, which is a back-breaking task, you use a spur to "splint" the existing wooden fence post.
